What the service includes
Kids M-P uses a junior-sized manicure and pedicure set designed for smaller hands and feet, focusing on gentle nail shaping and a playful polish application. Technicians guide each step so younger guests feel pampered and professionally managed, while parents see tidy edges and age-appropriate finishes rather than adult-style treatments.
Shaping emphasizes short, rounded edges and conservative filing to reduce snagging and discomfort, with decisions made by the technician in the child's best interest. Appointments increase in June, July, August and December, so families should plan ahead for summer breaks and holiday events to secure preferred times.
Preparing for the appointment
Bring a parent or guardian if the child prefers company; staff will work with whomever accompanies them. Arrive in comfortable clothing and, for pedicures, footwear that can be slipped back on easily. Our Irving Park location is convenient for commuters using the Kennedy Expressway and nearby CTA or Metra connections.
We offer evening and weekend slots to fit family schedules and commuter routines, and we can often accommodate pre- or post-event bookings for nearby Wrigley Field attendees. Walk-ins are convenient for commuters, but during peak summer and December holiday demand it's wise to reserve a time in advance.
Safety and comfort standards
Technicians prioritize calm, age-aware handling and will adapt the pace to each child’s comfort. If a guest becomes restless, staff offer pauses, simplified steps, or resume with guardian approval. These choices trade speed for a more comfortable experience and reduce the chance of rushed work on small nails.
Polish can chip more quickly for active children, so technicians focus on neat application rather than promises of extended wear. Parents can expect clean shaping and a child-friendly finish, with staff offering simple tips to help polish last longer. We do not guarantee longevity, only careful application and professional handling.
